What Does Student Union Do?

Student Union has three primary goals, to advocate, allocate and program:

ADVOCATE

Advocate for the needs and interests of students to the administration and ensure that students have a voice in the academic and social decisions which directly affect them.

ALLOCATE

allocate

Allocate the Student Activities Fee, equal to one-percent (1%) of each undergraduate student’s tuition, to engaging and unique activities, programs, and initiatives.

PROGRAM

program

Program for all undergraduates through innovative and traditional means. SU funded events include WILD, Diwali, Lunar New Year Festival, a-capella concerts and more.

There are lots of ways to get involved with Student Union, ranging from committees with small time commitments to larger roles with bigger responsibilities. For election and application information, please check the SU Important Dates calendar and for updates on which positions, committees and roles are open, please see the Joining SU page. I am looking for Student Union resources and reservations

A complete list of Student Union resources and links to make reservations for the Underpass, Student Life ads, etc… are available by clicking the tab to the left. We are currently in the process of transferring some of these pages over from our old website so we apologize for any inconvenience. I am looking for the Student Union office

The Student Union office, which features meeting spaces and resources for student groups, is located on the first floor of the Danforth University Center in Room 160. If you are standing in Tisch Commons, facing the main DUC staircase, the office is to your left.
