This is one of the first iterations of the Student Union website. It debuted in 1998. This is a typical design for websites in the late 90s. Its not too flashy. It makes use of frames in order to sepeate content.

The second version of the Student Union website debuted around 2000. This site continues to make use of frames to sepeate content (this is before CSS was widely used on the web). The site features more colors from different icons. All in all, the site is still very basic...nothing too flashy.

This version of the website is pretty sophisticated for its time. It premiered in 2002. This site makes use of CSS to organize the content. There might even be a php/mysql backend that is powering the news feed.

This version of the site lasted for a total of 4 years! It was designed by Ed Banti (former SU Treasurer and Speaker of the Treasury). The site makes extensive use of a php backend and CSS. This site introduced a student group budget portal (called SUStac) and an admin interface with varying degrees of user permissions. Ed essentially created a custon content management system (cms) before the rest of the web world got caught up in the cms frenzy.

This version of the site is the most recent. Hopefully it lasts forever! We are using the Drupal cms to power the backend. Drupal makes it very easy to upload content, manage users, and deploy cool features. If you have any suggestions for improvements, please let us know
