In a unanimous decision, Executive Council voted 7-0-0 to grant Team 31 an additional $15,000 for talent towards fall WILD. At last year's General Budget meetings, many students felt that more money should be given towards WILD, since it is one of the most anticipated traditions on our campus each semester, and directly benefits a large portion of the student population. We followed their sentiments and granted Team 31 the additional money, which we hope will help make this coming WILD a very memorable one. $15,000 remains in the Executive Appeals account.

I'm a little bit outraged at this. WILD already gets so much money as it is. And the best part is, anyone could play WILD, and no one would know the difference. If SU was really interested in making WILD better, they would advocate to restore some of the old traditions that existed with the events. Like allowing more then a six pack, or allowing people to bring in couches.
If they don't do that, people will only show up for the headliner. It's true that most people only want to go there to drink. This means that hardly anyone makes it out for the openers. Which Team 31 spends a lot of money on. So use money from there. Don't give them other money that could be used to increase campus life beyond just one event.
But that's just me. I'm not in SU, I'm busy being in actual student groups on campus.
