Fall 2008 Category II budget for STAND WashU

Increase group awareness on campus and ivolvement in advocacy

It has been 5 years since the genocide in Darfur begin in 2003, and yet little has been done through policy to change this. We want to raise awareness in order to garner more strength for advocating and pressuring politicians to effectively change foreign policy and stop the atrocities in Sudan.

Movie Showing: The Devil Came On Horseback

We will be showing Devil Came On Horseback, about an ex-Marine who travels to Sudan to gather photos and first hand information on the conflict to show others just how bad the conflict really is.
