Welcome back and happy new year.

My name is Adam Cohen. I am a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences. I am a Political Science and Psychology major. I am part of the University Initiatives Committee. I have been working on the Senate liaison program which you will be hearing more about as the semester progresses.
With that brief introduction, here is one important upcoming event.
Student Union is kicking off the new semester with a new event Senate Outreach Week. A representative from Senate will be in the DUC next Tuesday to Friday from 11 - 1. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, look for us next week in the DUC. If we are not there when you are available, come visit us at Senate meetings which take place every Wednesday at 9 PM in DUC 276.
Tonight, Treasury will hear appeals from the following student groups:
Treasury will be in new location. Please come to Simon Hall Room 120 to voice your opinion and make sure your money is spent wisely. Our meetings start at 9:00pm sharp.
Hope everyone has a great semester this year; safe travels to those who are studying abroad.
And for non-senators, if you can find the time between rechecking WebSTAC to see if you got into your waitlisted class and waiting on line in the bookstore for checkout, come to the first senate meeting of the year this Wednesday, January 14, 9:00 PM, in DUC 276.
Jen Kim
Art School Senator
The annual Student Union Tuition Forum is an opportunity for administrators and staff to explain the breakdown of tuition and any increases to students. This year, our forum is especially timely and important. As announced in the Chancellor's recent e-mail, the national economic strain has affected this university and will cause cutbacks throughout our community. Please take this opportunity to come and get any of your financial questions answered.
This forum will be held this TUESDAY, DECEMBER 2nd at 8pm in the Danforth University Center – room 276. Food will be provided.
The Administrative Panel includes:
Chancellor Wrighton
Barb Feiner, Chief Financial Officer
Bill Witbrodt, Director of Student Financial Services
Michael Dunlap, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Finance
Tim Thornton, Director of Financial Planning
Jim McLeod, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences
Justin Carroll, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Students
Jill Carnaghi, Director of Campus Life
Tara Bone, Director of Auxiliary Enterprises
This event is brought to you by the Academic Affairs Committee of the Student Union Senate.
