This week, the Student Union Executive Council considered applications from four student groups who wanted to join the Social Programming Board. Those groups were Team 31, Campus Programming Council, Gargoyle Committee and Filmboard. The Executive Council voted to admit Team 31, CPC, and Gargoyle to the SPB. Those groups were later confirmed by Senate and Treasury.
It should be duly noted that groups were admitted to the Social Programming Board based on their need to be exempt from the Category I budget process and having a primary role to engage the student body through social programs.

These changes have been passed by Senate and Treasury. The constitutional changes will go up for a referendum vote during the March 4th and 5th Student Union elections.

This application is for current category student groups and executive committees to apply for membership to the Social Programming Board. The Social Programming Board is designed for social programming groups to strategically plan and implement large-scale events that engage large portions of the student body.

These four groups are allocated about 20% of the Student Activity Fee their to put on large-scale social programs that are attended by large and diverse portions of the student body. The Social Programming Board brings great things to campus already, and can only improve as we move forward.
