| Description | The purpose of the Asian Music Association shall be to link people of all cultures together through the universal language of music. AMA shall provide individuals in the Washington University and in the larger St. Louis area, who are interested in Asian music, with an opportunity to gather, share, and enjoy Asian music. It shall also seek to foster an interest and appreciation for Asian music among non-Asian populations and eventually spread Asian music to the whole Washington University community. It will be a resource from which one can learn about Asian music, and a foundation for music exchange across cultures. There is currently an a capella group that sings Asian music under it. AMA holds gathering, discussions, performances and participate in various culturally related campus activities. Anyone who likes music is welcomed. |
