Description

After Dark is one of Washington University's most vibrant co-ed a cappella groups. In 2004, After Dark performed on MSNBC's "Hardball" during coverage of the Presidential Debates, and competed at one of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) Midwest Divisional Competitions, where they placed first runner up and received the outstanding soloist award, thus advancing to the regional competition. In August 2005, the group released their debut studio album "Whoa Bundy." The album's opening track was chosen for CAMO'S Second Annual Top Shelf A Cappella Compilation. After Dark's second studio album, "Eclipse," was released in August 2007, and received rave reviews from the Recorded A Cappella Review Board. One of the album's tracks ("Mama's Room") was chosen for the prestigious compilations "Voices Only 2007" and "Sing IV." In 2008, they once again performed on national television for CBS' "The Early Show" as part of the coverage for the Vice Presidential Debates. This year, the group once again plans to compete and hold their annual concert "A Light from the Darkness." Auditions are held every fall.
