| Description | We are a chapter of the international human rights organization of the same name.We seek to educate about and act to promote universal standards of human rights including the rights to freedom from politcal and religious oppression, torture, genocide, and debilitating poverty and exploitation.We work on a global and local scale to stop the crimes of abusive governments, corporations, and other structures of harmful power. Some of the recent areas of activism include: police brutality/citizen control of police in St. Louis; abolition of the death penalty in Missouri; corporate, governmental, and military accountability in Colombia; national healthcare for America. |
