| Description | The WU student chapter of ASCE is part of the network of professionals and schools that makes up the American Society of Civil Engineers, the largest professional society in the world and the oldest in the United States. We are committed to the enhancement of our members knowledge of our profession and increasing awareness of the importance of our profession to the surrounding community. Professional engineering societies such as ASCE play an integral role in transitioning students from academics to careers as successful, contributing leaders in their profession. Through industry tours, professional seminars, leadership opportunities, and social activities, this society helps cultivate students' interest in the field and fosters active participation as leaders in the community. |
