Application Process
The following is a breakdown of the student group application process. If you have any questions, please contact Student Group Activities Committee (sgac@su.wustl.edu).
- Student group submits an application.
- SGAC receives the application and reviews it at their weekly meeting.
- If SGAC finds the application complete and acceptable, the student group is invited to their next meeting for an interview.
- If SGAC finds the application incomplete or has question, the student group will receive an e-mail with questions or a request for a re-submit.
- SGAC interviews the student group. After the meeting, the committee discusses the application and sends the student group an e-mail regarding their decision.
- If the group is applying as a category I or II group and they're approved, SGAC will invite them for an interview before the Treasury.
- If the group is applying as a category III group and they're approved, they will automatically be approved as category III without going before the Treasury. The group will receive an e-mail detailing their responsibilities as a new student group.
- If the group isn't approved, SGAC will send them a list of reasons and their recommendations for future applications.
- At the next Treasury meeting, the student group will stand before the Treasury and have another interview similiar to the SGAC interview.
- If the group is approved by Treasury, the SGAC chair(s) will brief the group after the Treasury meeting and send them a detailed e-mail with a list of their responsibilities as a category I or II group.
- If the group is not approved by Treasury, the application is officially dead. The group is allowed to re-apply after a semester.
