Treasury
The Treasury of the Student Union functions as the primary body for the allocation of Student Union monies and resources. It is up to the Treasury to approve the annual budget, approve new student groups, and enact all legislation concerning the use of Student Union monies and resources. As one of the two houses in the Student Union Legislative Branch, it consists of seventeen students representing the entire undergraduate student body.
The Treasury of the Student Union, established in April 2003, is a relatively new body. However, it has already taken an active role on campus. At each weekly meeting, new student groups will be approved, new budget requests will be considered, and allocation policies will be addressed. These meetings are open to the entire student body, so feel free to attend and voice your concerns and opinions. Remember, it is your activity fee, and you should have a voice in how it is spent.
