Budget Committee will be holding the inaugural Student Union Budget Open Forum on Friday, Sept 26th. The forum is part of Treasury’s ongoing efforts to engage the student body and to improve transparency in the way Budget Allocation works every semester.
The forum will begin with a 30-min presentation by the Budget Committee Chair on a brief overview of how Budget Allocation works from semester to semester, some challenges the committee faced during allocations, and some exciting changes that will be made for Budget Allocation this semester. He will also be introducing SU Treasury’s new exciting initiatives this semester. The presentation will be followed with a panel consisting of VP Finance, Speaker of Treasury, Budget Committee Chair and a representative from the Student Group Activities Committee (SGAC). This is an excellent opportunity for students to reach out to Treasury leadership, find out more about how things work in SU Treasury, and provide any feedback.
The event will be on 9/26 in Seigle L006 (Basement Auditorium) from 3:30 pm to 4:30pm.
