[Student Group Presidents] Treasury Spring 2015 Announcements

Dear Presidents and Treasurers,

Welcome back! I hope you’ve had a wonderful winter break. 🙂

Here are a few important announcements from Treasury:

Register on SU Finance website

First and foremost, please make sure that both the President and the Treasurer of your student group are registered on SU Finance website. Click on the link and it will bring you to the registration page. You will need to login with your WUSTL key.

(IMPORTANT: If you are no longer the President/Treasurer of your student group, please forward this email to the new President/Treasurer. It is important that they register on SU Finance so that they can receive important information from us.)

Treasury Appeals

Treasury will meet every Tuesday this semester at 9.30pm in Simon 113. During the sessions, Treasury representatives will see appeals from student groups and debate before voting on whether to fund the appeals.

If you are interested to know more about how Treasury allocates a portion of your student activities fee, I would highly encourage you to attend one of our Treasury sessions. They are open to all students.

Spring Activities Fair

Spring Activities Fair will be held on Jan 21, 4.30pm, this coming Wednesday in the DUC. The Student Group Activities Committee (SGAC) Chair Danyao Xu will be sending out an email later this weekend about the upcoming Spring Activities Fair. If you have any questions, please email her at sgac@su.wustl.edu.

Category Change and New Group Recognition

SGAC will be looking at category change and new group applications beginning February. If you are interested in applying for category change or starting a new student group, please submit an application through Portfolio. If you have any questions, feel free to email the SGAC Chair Danyao at sgac@su.wustl.edu.

Budget Allocation

CAT I and II student groups will be required to turn in a budget for the following semester. This semester, budgets will be due on Feb 9th by midnight. A BAT leader will be assigned to your student group two weeks before the deadline to help you with any questions. If you have any questions, feel free to drop the Budget Committee Chair Hunter Malasky an email at budget@su.wustl.edu.
