The Student Media Board is a new SU initiative, organized to help increase the level of collaboration between the various media groups on campus, and to create a better student media presence. Currently, SMB is looking for individuals who have a passion for media to serve on its first ever executive board. The roles are as follows:
Director – responsible for crafting a strategic plan for the group, working closely with the leaders from various media groups, and help facilitate any and all inter-group media projects.
Treasurer – responsibilities include representing SMB in SU, help craft the annual budget, coordinate purchasing activities with other on-campus organizations, and dictating the budget process for the group.
VP of Special Projects – in charge of all collaboration projects between the media groups, help organize and plan any SMB programming, and assist with all SMB related tasks.
If you are interested, please fill out this interest form by 3:00 PM Friday, February 3. You will be sent a quick application to fill out after the deadline, and interviewed by a representative from all student media group the following Saturday (2/11).
