Good Morning Presidents & Treasurers,
Happy second day of classes! On behalf of all the SU officers, we are all super excited for the upcoming year and can’t wait to see all of the programming your groups put on. Here are a few updates as the semester gets underway:
Updated How Things Work
Student Group Leaders Training (SGLT)
The Fall Activities Fair is this Friday from 4:30–6PM! If you are already signed up for a table, look out for more information from Andrew Kocins, Activities Committee Chair, about setting up and such. If you have not signed up, even though the deadline to sign up for a table has already passed, there are still some spaces available and you can sign up here until Wednesday evening at 11:45 PM.
Updated How Things Works:
Every year, SU releases an updated version of our financial policies and procedures document: How Things Work. We are very excited for this year’s document, as it includes more information than ever before and has been edited from past versions to ensure that all of you have access to the most up-to-date information. You can view the document on the SU website using this link, and then download the file to your computer to search and use the links within the document.
We will be going through in-depth explanations of the document at Student Group Leaders Training in a few weeks, but we wanted to get the information out so you can start utilizing this invaluable resource as you start to access your group’s accounts.
Student Group Leaders Training (SGLT):
As you all should (hopefully) already know, SU will be hosting our SGLT on Saturday, 9/8 from 9AM- 2PM, with the kickoff starting in the DUC! The event is mandatory for all presidents, treasurers, and strongly encouraged for officers who are involved in programming for their group.
If the president and/or treasurer is unable to attend, the group may send a delegate in their place. In the event that not even a delegate is able to attend, the group’s account will be frozen and the group will be unable to access any of their funds until they attend one of the Campus Life GPS trainings (information regarding account freezes and next steps will be communicated to groups who don’t attend SGLT).
A more detailed schedule of the event as well as information about what to do if you need to send a delegate will be sent out in next week’s email, so look out for that!
If you ever want to refer to previous Presidents’ & Treasurers’ emails, you can find them here. Also, if you are no longer the president or treasurer of your group but are still receiving these emails, please forward this email to the group’s new leadership and ask them to re-register on WUGO.
Let me know if you have any questions!
