President and Treasurer Email 10/30/18

Good Morning Presidents and Treasurers,

Here are a few updates for you this week:

  1. Spring Budgets Released (11/2)

  2. Student Union Tuition Forum (11/15)

  3. Last Day to Program (12/9)

Spring Budgets Released (11/2):

Spring 2019 budgets for Category 1 & 2 student groups will be released on Friday, November 2nd at 5 pm. If you have any questions about your budget and want to discuss them with your BAT leaders or Agneesh Dasgupta, Budget Committee Chair, post-allocation office hours will be held in the SU Office from 6-9 pm on Monday, November 5th. There will be food, so feel free to stop by! Contact Agneesh at with any questions.

Student Union Tuition Forum (11/15):

Student Union is hosting the annual tuition forum on November 15th at 8PM in Umrath Lounge. The event will feature presentations from Chancellor Mark Wrighton, Vice Chancellor for Finance and CFO of the University Amy Kweskin, and Vice Provost for Admissions & Financial Aid Ronné Turner. Following the presentations, there will be time for an open Q&A with the aforementioned presenters as well as Provost Holden Thorp and Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Rob Wild.

As student leaders on campus, it would be great if you could attend to learn about where our tuition goes and to ask questions to University Leaders. We would also appreciate if you could mention this event to members of your student group, as it is tailored to provide all students the opportunity to learn more about tuition. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

Last Day to Program (12/9):

As we approach the end of the semester, please keep in mind that the last day to program events is December 9th. If your group would like to program after that day, you will need to receive approval from Campus Life. We will be sending out more information in the coming weeks, this is just an FYI to keep the date on your radar. Feel free to reach out to Beth Doores, Associate Director for Campus Life ( with any questions/concerns.

Have a great week and let me know if you have any questions!
