Budgets Due TODAY:

Budget Committee will require all group budgets for the Fall 2019 semester to be due into SU Finance by 5PM TODAY. Email Budget Committee Chair, Arjan Kalra at, with any questions.

Category Structure Update:

There was an email sent out about the SU group category structure (read it here) which has been updated to reflect the feedback from you all. The form included in that email is due next Tuesday, February 5th at 11:45PM if your group would like to opt-in to a new category. Direct any questions about the email/WUGO form to Shelly at

There will be a free event in the beginning of April on Mudd Field to celebrate Chancellor Wrighton’s tenure. We are looking for interested students to get involved in the planning of the event in order to appeal to all aspects of our campus community. Please reach out to me ( by February 5 if you are interested or have any questions about the committee or the event.

Trending Topics Nomination Form:

Trending Topics is an annual speaker series hosted by SU where student groups can nominate up to two speakers who will then be discussed and voted on by Treasury in an April appeal session. This year, speakers will range in price from $10,000 to $100,000 in order to expand the series from past years. The nomination form on WUGO is now open and submissions will be allowed until March 3 at 11:59 PM. Please reach out to me ( with any questions!

Student Group Name Change Application:

Linked here is the application for changing the name of your student group. All that is required is your current group’s name, the desired name change, and the justification for the change. Before submitting the application, keep in mind that the new name cannot overlap with any other student group on campus.

Block Funding Information Session (2/5):

As the Student Union General Budget Session approaches, the process for groups/projects/initiatives to request funds through block funding is also starting. We will be hosting an information session on February 5th from 6–7PM in DUC 236 where we will walk through the process and all important dates. Block funding is designed to give the student body a direct say regarding the funding of certain groups/projects/initiatives and is open to all undergraduate students.

Opportunity Fund Update:

As the semester begins, we would like to remind Presidents and Treasurers about the Opportunity Fund. The Opportunity Fund is a resource for eligible students to subsidize their extracurricular needs. All eligible students have received an email from Student Financial Services regarding their eligibility . Please encourage your members that are eligible to utilize the resource as you leaders begin planning for the semester. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the SU President, Grace, at

WUGO Rosters:

Please make sure your group’s WUGO roster is kept up to date. This means that you have exactly one President and Treasurer listed, since those will be the people with those accesses in SU Finance.

Thanks for reading!
