President & Treasurer Email 10/18/19

Dear Presidents and Treasurers,

Cynthia Bowdry has accepted a new role at Washington University in St. Louis. Her last day in Student Union/Campus Life is Friday, October 18, 2019. Her student groups will be re-assigned to one of the other Business Coordinators no later than Monday, October 21, 2019. Please see SU Finance for reassignment.  

Because of Cynthia’s departure, some of our daily operations have adjusted. Moving forward, SUVisa appointments have switched to the following drop in hours: 

Monday – Wednesday 10:30am – 12:00pm & 1:30pm – 3:30pm

Thursday – Friday 10:30am – 12:00pm 

It is imperative that you are familiar with the new SU Visa policy for 2019/2020. This information was presented at Student Group Leader training and is being strictly implemented. You can find the details on this policy by watching the required Fiscal FOMO training videos on su.wustl.edu.  We are unable to make exceptions so please be prepared.

Please allow at least two business days for email approval from your assigned coordinator to use any SU credit card. Student workers will be working with student groups for credit card usage and may not be able to answer additional questions your group may have.  You may continue to schedule general financial advising appointments with your assigned coordinator.

Please bear with the student workers and professional staff as we work through this transition.  We strongly encourage group members to be patient and proactive when planning travel and events that require the use of SU credit cards. We will notify you if additional adjustments need to be made.Ariel Ashie
