Hope you all are safe and well. Below are some important updates regarding fundraising accounts and information for the fall!
- Please use this guide for updates on accessing your group’s fundraising account this summer to make donations to organizations supporting Black Lives Matter and fighting racial injustice.
- Please keep sending along videos and pictures for the Fall Activities Fair! These can include interviews, performance clips, group highlights, etc. Zoë Hancock, the Activities Committee Chair, will be reaching out with some additional updates regarding the Fall Activities Fair + these promo videos over the next several weeks.
- As many of you know, Enterprise recently suspended their Carshare program. As we learn more about the fall programming restrictions, this may significantly impact many of your groups. Once we receive concrete University updates about fall programming, we will publish an updated policy + alternatives to Carshare. Please reach out with any questions or concerns — I promise to help you all with this process as we figure out the fall semester!
- SU administered a $110 Student Activity Fee refund to undergraduates who paid the Student Activity Fee in the Spring 2020 semester. This refund should be complete by the end of the next billing cycle, so you should see the refund over the next several weeks. Please feel free to let your group members know of this!
The Office of Public Affairs has launched a project to encourage you – all students, faculty, medical professionals, staff, alumni, friends – to document your personal experiences and stories during the COVID-19 outbreak and contribute them to a digital archive documenting how the WashU community is responding to this historic moment, which will be saved in University Archives. Please see this webpage for more information and to contribute.
Carry forward request updates
All carry forward requests are cancelled since we do not currently know what programming will be allowed come September. The only carry forward requests approved have been those surrounding unpaid invoices — feel free to reach out if you have questions about this! Instead, pending approval from Treasury, we will be moving the money set aside for carry forward requests to the SU Appeals Accounts. I sincerely apologize for this and promise to help you all with the appealing process this fall.
WashU Votes Update
As summer starts and we look ahead to the next school year, now is a good time for you and members of your student group to ensure that your voter registration is accurate for the upcoming elections. If your address is changing next school year, you can update your voter registration using TurboVote. If you have never registered to vote and are interested in doing so, you can also do that at the TurboVote link. Feel free to pass this information along to others in your student group, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to email@example.com.
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Stay well.
