Hi all,

Hope you all had a nice start to your classes! Below are some key details for the start of the semester, including the anticipated Fall 2020 SU Financial Guide.

Quick Updates

  • Student Group Leaders Training is currently being planned to ensure student groups get the information most applicable to the fall semester. More updates to come next week! Questions can be directed to Zoë Hancock, Peggy Hermes, or myself.
  • Spring 2020 budget submission for Category I and II groups has been postponed due to the unknown state of the spring semester. SU’s Financial Leadership team has been working closely on a week-by-week basis to determine the best way to move forward with budget submission, recognizing that COVID will likely still impact the spring semester in some capacity. More updates to come as we learn more about the spring – with that said, please feel free to brainstorm among your respective groups about ways to program virtually / in-person in the spring semester. Feel free to reach out to Fadel Alkilani with any questions.

Fall 2020 Student Union Financial Guide

Attached is the SU Financial Guide for the fall semester; this guide will also be posted to the SU website shortly. This guide contains the information relevant to the fall semester relating to student group resources, funding, and spending, including a number of useful infographics for how to spend your money / submit expense request forms / work with your respective Business Coordinators. Please note that all programming guidelines and details on the programming request process through Campus Life can be found in the recent Campus Life newsletter as well as the Fall 2020 Student Group Handbook.

New Group Recognition & Category Change Applications

New Group Recognition and Category Change Applications are due Friday, September 25 at 11:45pm CT. Questions can be directed to Zoë Hancock at activities@su.wustl.edu. If you have already applied, Zoë will reach out following the deadline with more information on next steps.
