How to Print Brochures

To print for your student group, you must use the printer kiosks inside the SU Office located on the 2nd floor of the DUC

Step 1: Design your brochure

When you are designing your brochure, make sure that your design’s layout is an 11×8.5 horizontal page with three panels side by side. DO NOT have each panel as a separate page of your document.

The first page should contain your three panels that will be the INSIDE of your brochure.

The second page should contain the three panels that will be the OUTSIDE of your brochure.

Step 2: Print the Document on a Mac Printer Station

This process only works on the Mac Printer Stations in the SU Office.

Step 3: Make sure you set the paper size to 8.5 x 11

Adjust the scale to fit your entire document. You may need to play around with your document’s design to fit the image.

DO NOT adjust the margins of the paper. This will block the option to fold the paper into a brochure.

Step 4: Use the Print Menu to go to “Layout/Finish”

Step 5: Under Layout, make sure it is set to 2-sided

Step 6: Under Finish, make sure it is set to Tri-Fold (Sheet)

Step 7: Print the document

If you need your student group’s login credentials, ask the administrator/DUCSA at the SU Front Desk

Step 8: Add Paper to the Printer’s Bypass Tray

The printer will give you an error and start beeping, BUT DON’T BE ALARMED

You just have to add paper to the bypass tray. The paper must be inserted with the short side facing the printer.

EVERYTIME YOU SUBMIT A NEW PRINT JOB FOR BROCHURES, YOU MUST REMOVE AND REPLACE THE PAPER IN THE BYPASS TRAY
