Washington University’s Student Union turned a long-standing vision into a reality through the implementation of the Student Union Opportunity Fund.
The Fund partners with Student Financial Services (SFS) and the Office of Student Success (OSS) to help qualifying students overcome the financial burden of the Washington University extracurricular experience.
The fund was first implemented in November of 2017, and the 2017-2018 school year served as the pilot year for the program. The Opportunity Fund Task Force, alongside Student Financial Services, has closely tracked the data in the first year and has modified the fund as a result of that information.
In order to protect student confidentiality on campus, Student Union does not publicize specific information about how the fund is executed.
Opportunity Fund Participants: If you are a recipient of the Fund, you will have received an email at the beginning of the year with a confidential password. If you are interested in accessing more information, please access a password-protected section here.
Donors: The SU Opportunity Fund will soon be accepting donations directly to our endowment. If you are at all interested, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org or check this page in the near future for updates and more information.
